<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a state determination device of a fixing device, for determining an abnormal condition of the fixing device using a physical quantity having a correlation with a reduction in glossiness of a recording material, as a feature amount. <P>SOLUTION: The state determination device includes: first feature amount storage means for storing information for monitoring contact pressure to be applied to a nip part as a first feature amount; second feature amount storage means for storing information for monitoring surface condition of a fixing belt as a second feature amount; and determination means that calculates an index value indicating the state of the fixing device on the basis of the first and second feature amounts to determine abnormal condition of the fixing device on the basis of the index value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
