The invention is related to an apparatus comprising a dispense interface (6005; 6405) comprising a lockout element (6000; 6400) for use with a drug delivery device, the lockout element (6000; 6400) comprising at least one spring component (6010; 6020; 6410; 6420) removeably maintained in a respective first position such that when the dispense interface (6005; 6405) is first attached and then removed from said drug delivery device, each spring component (6010; 6020; 6410; 6420) moves into a respective second position, which respective second position is configured to prevent said dispense interface (6005; 6405) from being reattached to a drug delivery device.
