A platform door device that has a boarding/deboarding door (11), a door pocket (12) into which said boarding/deboarding door (11) goes, and a drive device (13) that drives the boarding/deboarding door (11). Said platform door device is provided with the following: a first rail (18) provided on the boarding/deboarding door (11); support columns (19) provided inside the door pocket (12); second rails (21) provided in the door pocket (12); first rail-guidance means (22) that are provided on support columns (19), engage with the first rail (18), and guide the opening and closing of the boarding/deboarding door (11); and second rail-guidance means (23) that are provided on the support columns (19), engage with the second rails (21), and slide the door pocket (12). In an emergency, the door pocket (12) is slid to form an emergency escape region. |
