<p>A method and system for reducing the power dissipation in a Time Division Dual (TDD) system are disclosed in the present invention, and solves the problems of the high power dissipation and the low efficiency of power amplifiers when the TDD system is in a rollback state in the prior art. The method is concretely comprises: a scheduling system computes, according to the number of users in a cell, symbolic number needed by time domain; determines the configuration of the TDD time slots and forwards it to a radio unit by a base band unit. The system comprises: a computing module, a configuration module and a forwarding module, wherein the computing module is used for computing, according to the number of users in a cell, symbolic number needed by the time domain; the configuration module is used for determining, according to the symbolic number needed by the time domain, the configuration of the TDD time slots; and the forwarding module is used for forwarding the configuration of the TDD time slots to the base band. The present invention controls the work time of the power amplifiers by controlling the duration of the time slots occupied by downlink transmission, so as to satisfy the use when the number of users is maximum and work with the minimum power dissipation when the number of users is zero or small.</p> |
