<p>The head (11) has vertical slit-like needle channels arranged at outside circumference of a knitting cylinder, and knitting needles supported in the channels. A bearing supports the knitting cylinder. Rolling elements are arranged between bearing surfaces of the bearing. A needle cam is arranged so as to be concentric to the knitting cylinder, and a head ring is mounted on a machine frame (2) of a circular knitting machine (1). The head ring is accommodated in a carrier ring that is located at a side of the machine frame.</p> |
