<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which improves reaction sensitivity in contact operation on a touch panel and improves operability. <P>SOLUTION: A portable terminal 1 comprises: a capacitance type touch panel 24; an aqua chip for wetting a finger of a user; a detection unit 11 for detecting the reaction sensitivity of contact operation by the user's finger which is detected on the touch panel 24; an enabling unit 12 for enabling an aqua chip 25 based on the reaction sensitivity detected by the detection unit 11; and a notification unit 13 for notifying the user to urge him/her to wet his/her finger when the aqua chip 25 is enabled by the enabling unit 12.
