<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress image quality deterioration due to a failure that an image on a recording material begins to be solidified before reaching a solidifying means, on a conveying means disposed between a heating means and the solidifying means. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device 15 that generates heat, paper P and a toner image T heated by the fixing device 15 emit electromagnetic waves therearound. If going straight, the electromagnetic waves are transmitted to a cooling device 16, but, the waves are reflected by a shielding plate 81 of a reflector 18, then, the heat transmission is interrupted. The electromagnetic waves emitted from the paper P are reflected by the shielding plate 81, and the reflected electromagnetic waves are reflected by a counter reflection plate 82 again, then, transmitted to the paper P. Since the electromagnetic waves emitted from the fixing device 15 and the like are collected on the surface of the paper P in this manner, the toner image T carried on the surface of the paper P is warmed up, accordingly, the toner image is conveyed by the conveying device 17 to the cooling device 16 without causing solidification thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
