Shunting device for fitting an exchangeable milling device of a road construction machine

The device has a containment assembly for receiving a milling device. A transport frame (1) is extendible along a longitudinal direction. Steerable front wheels (9A, 9B) and steerable rear wheels (10A, 10B) are mounted on the transport frame. Height of the transport frame is adjustable relative to wheels such that the transport frame is moved from a lowered position to a raised position. The transport frame is lowered and raised in the lowered and raised positions. The wheels are secured at front rockers (11A, 11C) and rear rockers (11B,11D). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for assembling a milling device under a vertically adjustable machine frame of a road construction machine (2) a method for disassembling a milling device from a vertically adjustable machine frame of a road construction machine.
