The drive has a split pin crankshaft (1) rotatably mounted on main bearings (2-6) about a rotational axis, where the crankshaft comprises crankshaft parts (11-20). The crankshaft parts are joined together in a dividing plane of the crankshaft. Connecting rod bearings (30-33) are rotatably mounted on connecting rod ends (44) of connecting rods (34-37) by crank pins (26-29) positioned eccentrically along the rotational axis. The dividing plane within the crankshaft parts receives the connecting rods and the main bearings along an axial extension of a respective bearing point. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a crank drive.
