<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion apparatus that can equalize losses occurring in semiconductor devices. <P>SOLUTION: A power conversion apparatus includes: a first series circuit composed of a first semiconductor switching element and a second semiconductor switching element that are serially connected to both ends of a DC voltage source series circuit formed by serially connecting a first DC voltage source 1 and a second DC voltage source 2; and a second series circuit composed of a third semiconductor switching element and a fourth semiconductor switching element that are serially connected between the connection point between the first DC voltage source 1 and the second DC voltage source 2, and the connection point between the first semiconductor switching element and the second semiconductor switching element.
