摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission/reception module that allows an optical transmitter/receiver to be readily mounted on a substrate while securing position accuracy, and a method of manufacturing the same, and a server device. <P>SOLUTION: An optical transmission/reception module 10 includes a substrate 51, an optical transmitter 43, solder 90, and a fitting pin 544. The optical transmitter 43 is disposed on the substrate 51, transmits an optical signal to an optical waveguide 53, and has a fitting hole 545 opened on the side facing the substrate 51. The solder 90 positionally fixes the substrate 51 and the optical transmitter 43. The fitting pin 544 is formed on the substrate 51 so as to protrude toward the optical transmitter 43 and has a diameter that can be increased by heating. In the state where the fitting hole 545 and the fitting pin 544 are fitted to each other, a gap exists between the outer peripheral surface of the fitting pin 544 and the inner peripheral surface of the fitting hole 545 before heating the solder 90. When the solder 90 is heated, the outer peripheral surface of the fitting pin 544 and the inner peripheral surface of the fitting hole 545 are brought into contact with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
