The method involves jointly and simultaneously carrying out a deformation of internal diameter of a cylindrical metal container (1) by expansion to produce a bead/annular boss (5) of a mouth/opening (4) and by contraction that produces an annular shrinkage (6) above the bead by a shaping head and a single element. The head includes an expansible stationary part and a moving part that are coaxial, and possess an effect of compressing and hardening a metal by organizing metal molecules under simultaneous stresses to harden a packaging and allow the packaging to withstand vacuum. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for implementing a method for forming a wall of mouth of a cylindrical metal container or packaging (2) a container or packaging.
