PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overcoat composition for electrophotography that is excellent in adhesion without being repelled to a toner image on a recording medium, for example, a toner image formed with toner containing wax.

SOLUTION: An overcoat composition for electrophotography is used for overcoating a toner image formed on a recording medium with an electrophotographic method using toner, and contains at least a compound represented by the following general formula (1).
