<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio terminal capable of appropriately switching a connection destination between a radio base station and a radio relay device. <P>SOLUTION: A radio communication system includes the radio base station and the radio relay device for transmitting a preamble mask signal at a predetermined timing of preamble signal transmission. When the radio terminal for use in the radio communication system is connected to the radio base station, the radio terminal measures CINR of a received signal at each timing of the predetermined timing and timing different from the predetermined timing (S111).
