<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve drift of a refrigerant particularly on the upstream side of a refrigerant flowing flow passage in a heat exchanger to increase the efficiency of heat exchange. <P>SOLUTION: A plate type heat exchanger 5 is formed by stacking in parallel a plurality of heat transfer plates 10, alternately arraying a plurality of refrigerant flow passages and a plurality of cooled medium flow passages, and communicating with one another the plurality of refrigerant flow passages and the plurality of cooled medium flow passages so arrayed respectively at their inlet parts and outlet parts, and is configured to cool the cooled medium with latent heat of vaporization of the refrigerant circulating through a refrigerating cycle. The flow passage area of all the plurality of refrigerant flow passages 13a is smaller than the flow passage area at an inlet of the heat exchanger such that a flow rate of the refrigerant flowing into and through the plurality of refrigerant flow passages 13a is faster than the flow rate of the refrigerant at the heat exchanger inlet 11 for introducing the refrigerant into the refrigerant flow passages. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
