<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device highly durable to large load fluctuation of the rotary shaft of a following side without needing any adjustment of the holding force of the connection part of a rotation transmission member. <P>SOLUTION: A rotation transmission member 21 disposed between a pulley which is a driving side rotation member and a hub which is a following side rotation member to connect both of the members releases the connection when an excessive load is applied to the hub side. The rotation transmission member 21 includes an annular body 21c formed into a disk shape and having a plurality of connection piece-forming slits 24 close to the outer circumference at equal intervals in a circumferential direction, and a plurality of connection pieces 21d surrounding the outer circumference of the body to be elastically deformable in an axial direction. Each connection piece 21d has a fixed part 21e having its base end side fixed to the pulley and a connection part 21f held on the tip side to be removed by the hub and a holding plate.
