<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve adhesion between a sensor panel and a fluorescent body in a radiation image detector having the fluorescent body on a substrate side of the sensor panel. <P>SOLUTION: A radiation image detector 1 comprises: a fluorescent body 18 including fluorescent material which emits fluorescent light by being exposed to radiation; and a sensor panel 3 for detecting the fluorescent light. The sensor panel comprises a substrate 16, and a group of photoelectric conversion elements 26 provided on one side of the substrate. The fluorescent body closely adheres to a surface of the substrate, on a side opposite to the side where the group of the photoelectric conversion elements is provided.
