<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus to generate fluid vortices in a stagnation area in a fluid control system. <P>SOLUTION: A valve 300 includes a valve body 302 and a fluid passage therethrough. The fluid passage includes an inlet 304, an outlet 306 and a stagnation area 324. The valve 300 includes control elements 316, 318 within the fluid passage to control the flow of fluid through the passage and a vortex generating structure 314 to guide a fluid within the fluid passage into the stagnation area 324. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
