<p>The invention relates to a tempering device for inductively tempering work pieces, comprising a workpiece holder in which a workpiece can be inserted, an inductor that enables a workpiece that is arranged in a heating position to be heated by a magnetic field produced by an inductor coil, at least in a heating area, and a displacement device that enables the workpiece holder and the inductor to be displaced in the direction of displacement in relation to each other, in order to place the workpiece in the heating position and to withdraw it therefrom. The aim of the invention is to improve said device in order to obtain, from a surface of the workpiece, a heating area with the best possible defined gradient and defined expansion. Said invention is characterised in that in the heating position, a field guide comprising interactive field guide elements is provided, said field guide guiding the magnetic field produced by the inductor coil between surfaces traversing the field, facing the opposite lateral surfaces of the heating area, about the inductor coil.</p> |
