In control apparatus for a heat, or cold, storage system as described in the parent Specification, the cam which varies the setting of the thermal switch during a control operation is now so shaped that at the end of one control operation it causes the switch setting to fall below (or rise above, as the case may be) the starting temperature of the next control operation by at least the thermal differential of the switch and also causes the drive parts to be mould sufficiently to take up backlash, following which a rise in the cam profile ensures that the start of the next operation is on the outward stroke of the cam follower at such a point that mechanical backlash is fully taken up.</p> |
