摘要 <p>The method involves measuring oxygen concentration (KO) in exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine (4), and correlating a comparison parameter with measured oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas. The comparison parameter is used as a viscosity parameter. Correlation between the comparison parameter and the viscosity parameter is stored in an engine control device (20). The correlation is stored as function of an operating parameter i.e. temperature or engine speed, of the internal combustion engine. An independent claim is also included for a control device for determining viscosity parameter of an engine oil in an internal combustion engine.</p>
