PURPOSE: A composition containing Loranthus yadoriki SIEB. extract is provided to suppress MAO enzyme activation in vitro and to enhance immunity. CONSTITUTION: A monoamine oxydase(MAO) inhibitor contains Loranthus yadoriki SIEB. extract. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating MAO enzyme-related depression contains the extract with an effect of suppressing monoamine oxidase. The extract is a crude extract, polar solvent soluble extract, or non-polar solvent soluble extract. The crude extract is prepared using water, spirit, low alcohol of 1-4 carbon atoms, or a mixture solvent thereof.
