PURPOSE: Compacted chromium ore for manufacturing Fe-Cr is provided to implement compaction without input of additional energy by using exhaust gas of a melting reduction furnace to reduce iron component on the surface of ore. CONSTITUTION: Compacted chromium ore for manufacturing Fe-Cr comprises chrome ore powder and a flux. The chrome ore powder includes 20 weight% or more of metallic Fe formed through pre-reduction. The flux is selected one or more of limestone, quicklime, dolomite and silica to accelerate the melting of the chrome ore powder.
