PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass substrate of a cover glass for portable electronic equipment whose corner part has excellent impact resistance, an image display device for portable electronic equipment and portable electronic equipment using the same, and a method of manufacturing the glass substrate of the cover glass for portable electronic equipment.

SOLUTION: A glass substrate of a cover glass for portable electronic equipment, an image display device for portable electronic equipment, portable electronic equipment, and a method of manufacturing the glass substrate of the cover glass for portable electronic equipment are provided. With the glass substrate, compressive stress layers 30U and 30B formed by an ion exchange method are provided only on a front surface 20U side and a rear face 20B side. An edge face 40A is a curved face of a convex shape. Surface roughness Ra of the edge face 40A is 10 nm or less.
