A secondary battery (100) is provided with a positive-pole current collector (221) and a positive-pole active substance layer (223) which is applied to the positive-pole current collector (221) and includes at least a positive-pole active substance. In addition, the lithium ion secondary battery (100) is provided with a negative-pole current collector (241) which is arranged so as to face the positive-pole current collector (221), and a negative-pole active substance layer (243) which is applied to the negative-pole current collector (241) and contains at least a negative-pole active substance. Furthermore, the lithium ion secondary battery (100) is provided with a porous insulation layer (245) which has insulating resin particles stacked therein and is formed in such a way that the positive-pole active substance layer (223) and/or the negative-pole active substance layer (243) (in this case, the negative-pole active substance layer (243)) is covered. Moreover, this lithium ion secondary battery (100) is provided with a fused section (246), in which the resin particles are fused, at the edge of the insulation layer (245). |
