The invention relates to a rotating electric machine (10), especially synchronous permanent magnet machine, comprising a rotor (11) with a given number (Nr) of magnets (23) distributed along the circumference and a given number (pr) of rotor pole pairs, and further comprising a stator (12) with a given number (ps) of stator pole pairs and a given number (Ns) of stator slots (21). The efficiency and the power of the machine are improved by making the number (ps) of stator pole pairs independent of the number (pr) of rotor pole pairs. |
