<p>A method and a device which relate to the communication field for implementing software version synchronization to assure the service performance of a communication device are disclosed. The method includes: after a backup control unit is powered on, the version of the software running on a master control unit is detected. When the version of the software running on the master control unit is different with that running on the backup control unit, the version of the software running on the master control unit is obtained. And based on the obtained version of the software running on the master control unit, the version of the software running locally is synchronized. Thus, the conformance of the version of the software of the master control unit and that of the backup control unit is achieved, and the compatibility is improved. Whenever a switch occurs between the master control unit and the backup control unit, the confusion will not happen in the process flow of the communication device. Thus, the performance of the service is assured, the reliability of the service is improved when exceptions occurred in the communication device.</p> |
