<p>The switch (10) has electrical contact arms (50, 51) rotatably mounted in a rotor housing (20). The contact arms are pivotable between input and output positions and relative to the rotor housing. Intermediate parts (100, 101) e.g. balls, latch the contact arms with the rotor housing in a latched position. The intermediate parts are moved away from the latched position in the case of relative rotation between the contact arms and the rotor housing. The intermediate parts are formed as a spherical body that is resiliently held in a detent position and made of a non-conductive material.</p>
