PURPOSE: A storage device adaptively deciding a processing technique about a request of a host based on partition information and an operating method thereof are provided to receive a block address without receiving additional information from the host, thereby deciding a optimum processing method for a request of the host. CONSTITUTION: A storage module(310) stores information about an attribute of partitions of a disk. A control module(320) decides a partition, which a block address corresponding to a write request or a read request received from a host, belongs to. The control module adaptively decides a processing technique for the write request or the read request according to the attribute of the partition. The storage module stores information about the block addresses which the partition possesses. |
