PHOTOCATALYST, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING PHOTOCATALYST AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING PHOTOCATALYST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the diffusion of an alkali component to a photocatalytic film on a substrate.

SOLUTION: The photocatalyst is structured by film-forming a phtocatalytic film on the surface of the substrate containing the alkali component. The photocatalytic film comprises titanium dioxide and the photocatalyst is structured by film forming an amorphous titanium dioxide film on the surface of the substrate and laminating an anatase crystallized titanium dioxide film on the amorphous titanium dioxide film. The amorphous titanium dioxide has a function as an alkali diffusion preventing film of preventing the diffusion of the alkali component eluted from the substrate to the anatase crystallized titanium dioxide film. The photocatalyst is manufactured by forming the films on the substrate having a normal temperature and heating the substrate to a prescribed temperature.
