<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent film with less retardation and light leakage and excellent optical characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The transparent film is obtained by impregnating a glass fiber base material with a transparent resin composition and curing it, wherein the difference of the maximum value of the refractive index and the minimum value is 0.001 or less. The transparent resin composition contains a high refractive index resin whose cured product has a refractive index greater than that of a glass fiber and a low refractive index resin whose cured product has a refractive index smaller than that of the glass fiber. The transparent resin composition can provide the cured product which preferably has a glass transition temperature of 200°C or more.
