PURPOSE: An LED device is provided to reduce power consumption by controlling a switch to maintain a channel voltage with a reference voltage. CONSTITUTION: A ground is adjacent to an LED channel. A converter(200) converts an input voltage and generates a voltage for operating the LED channel. A protection circuit(300) senses a current flowing in the ground. The protection circuit determines the ground of the LED channel.
