<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display plural menus having an upper or lower hierarchical structure or an icon for making each of the menus operable in such a manner that a user can easily operate the menus or the icon with one hand. <P>SOLUTION: A portable terminal includes: a display unit 109 for displaying menus or icons; a display control unit 108 for controlling display of the menus or icons on the display unit 109; a touch panel 105 for detecting input operation to the displayed menus or icons; and a control unit 101 for controlling selection of the displayed menus or icons according to the detected input operation.
