<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a short circuit state or ground state of a positive busbar and a negative busbar in a power conversion apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The power conversion apparatus includes: DC terminals; an inverter circuit section having a power semiconductor element for converting a DC current into an AC current; positive side and negative side DC busbars for transmitting the DC current from the DC terminals to the inverter circuit section; and a drive control circuit section for controlling the drive of the power semiconductor element. The drive control circuit section determines a short circuit state of the positive side DC busbar and negative side DC busbar or a ground state of either the positive side or negative side DC busbar on the basis of the rotating speed of a motor driven by the AC current, the DC current flowing through the DC busbars, and a torque command value to the motor, and the drive control circuit section outputs a signal to stop driving the motor in accordance with the determination result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
