<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transform a Rhodococcus bacterium with an arbitrary linear DNA fragment to simply transfer a DNA sequence on a genome without a transfer factor such as transposon. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method for transferring a desired DNA sequence to a random position of the genome of bacteria belonging to genus Rhodococcus. Specifically, the invention relates to a method for transferring a linear DNA fragment to the genome of the bacterium, and then performing a homologous recombination between the homologous domains mutually enabling homologous recombination in the linear DNA fragment to drop the domain nipped with the homologous domains from the genome of the bacterium, consequently producing the bacterium on whose genome only the desired DNA sequence is transferred. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
