<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which a cause of an error or a troubled portion may be definitely specified so that restart may be avoided when a fatal error occurs and it is not preferable to restart the apparatus, so as to prevent a trouble becoming more serious. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: an error detection part for detecting occurrence of an error; a log holding object corresponding to an object for holding a log, that is, a hysteresis of an operation; a holding part for holding the log of the log holding object; an acquisition part for obtaining a log from the holding part when the error detection part detects an error; a storage part for storing the log obtained by the acquisition part in a nonvolatile manner; and a restart part that restarts the image forming apparatus when the acquisition part has obtained a log from the holding part and does not restart the image forming apparatus when the acquisition part has failed to obtain a log from the holding part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
