The present invention relates to a method for reproducing multimedia files and to a multimedia file reproducer. More particularly, the present invention relates to a multimedia file reproducer and to a method for reproducing multimedia files, which enable multimedia files to be sequentially reproduced so as to enable a user to study foreign languages, wherein the method comprises: a marker-generating step (10) of selecting a specific frame as a reproduction time base of a multimedia file (50), and defining one or more pause markers (51), chapter markers (53), passing markers (52), skip markers (54) and variable markers (55) in which time codes of the frame are recorded so as to generate a marker data file having a file name identical to that of the multimedia file (50); a marker-uploading step (11) of uploading the marker data file to an Internet server (71); a file-loading step (12) of loading the multimedia file (50) on a user terminal; a marker data check step (13) of checking the presence or absence of marker data in a metadata region of the multimedia file (50) when the multimedia file (50) is loaded; a marker-downloading step (14) of connecting, if no marker data is found in the file, to a marker data server, searching for the marker data file having the file name identical to that of the multimedia file (50), and downloading the marker data file; a reproduction setting step (15) of setting the number of times reproduction is to be carried out, as well as a pause cancel time, by a setting means (33); and a study step (16) of reproducing portions of the multimedia file (50) between the markers of the marker data according the set number of times reproduction is to be carried out, and pausing the file at the pause markers (51) in order to enable the user to study during the pause time. |
