VIDEO RECORDING RESERVATION METHOD AND INFORMATION PROCESSING UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recording reservation method which can register program reservation processing corresponding to a reservation mail in a recording reproducing device irrespective of a mail reception interval and to provide an information processing unit.

SOLUTION: A recorder includes: a mail reservation function accepting a recording reservation by receiving the reservation mail on which a recording reservation content is mentioned from a server device connected to a first network; and a network reservation function accepting the recording reservation from a device of a second network whose range is narrower than that of the first network. The video recording reservation method obtains the reservation mail from a server when a reservation mail reception execution signal is received in the second network and reserves the network for the recorder in accordance with the reservation content mentioned in the received reservation mail.
