PURPOSE: An operation mode controlling method is provided to control an operation control mode of a machinery oil pump or an electric oil pump, by determining whether hydraulic pressure is formed or not, oxygen is detected or not in an oxygen sensor, high voltage battery state, etc. CONSTITUTION: An operation mode controlling method for hybrid vehicle comprises: a step of detecting an engine operation state; a step of forming fluid pressure; a step of requiring operation of a new oil pump; and a step of stopping existing oil pump. The existing pump is an electric oil pump, and the new pump is a machinery oil pump, in case engine operation is transited from stop to operation. The existing pump is an machinery oil pump, and the new pump is an electric oil pump, in case engine operation is transited from operation to stop.
