PURPOSE: A device for transporting a plate shaped body is provided to reduce air volume supplying from an air supplying source because the amount of air supplied from a blowing type supporting unit to the bottom surface of a plate shaped body can be reduced. CONSTITUTION: A device for transporting a plate comprises a blowing type support unit and a propelling force supplying unit(3). The blowing type supporting unit supplies air toward the bottom surface of a plate shaped body(1). The blowing type support unit supports the plate shaped body in a contactless state. The propelling force supplying unit supplies propelling force of a transporting direction to the plate shaped body. The blowing type support unit comprises an air ejection part(20) and a pair of guide plate parts(16). The air ejection part is arranged along the transporting direction and upwardly ejects the air supplied from an air supplying source(11).
