<p>Provided is an endoscope apparatus that is simple, lightweight, compact and inexpensive, wherein the heat-generating elements in the tip can be cooled favorably using a coolant. The endoscope apparatus (100) having a scope (100a) with a tip (141b) and a shaft (141a) is provided with a heat exchanger (301) with a flow channel for a cooling liquid that cools the heat-generating elements disposed in the tip (141b), a first tube (302) one end of which is connected to one end of the flow channel of the heat exchanger (301), and a second tube (303) one end of which is connected to the other end of the flow channel of the heat exchanger (301). The tip (141b) is cooled by alternating a departing motion that generates a flow of the cooling liquid from the other end of the first tube (302) toward the aforementioned one end thereof and a flow from the aforementioned one end of the second tube (303) toward the other end thereof, and a returning motion that generates a flow of the cooling liquid from the other end of the second tube (303) toward the aforementioned one end thereof and a flow from the aforementioned one end of the first tube (302) toward the other end thereof.</p> |
