PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device capable of setting channel information independently of a reception radio wave intensity of radio waves, and to provide a channel information setting method and a control program.

SOLUTION: A communication device which enables viewing and listening of digital broadcasting, has: a data table 20 for managing gate information for identifying a gate passed through when entering into a predetermined area or leaving from the predetermined area, and channel information used when the digital broadcasting is received while associating these information with each other; a gate information acquisition part 30 acquiring the gate information when passing through the gate; and a channel information setting part 40 setting the channel information associated with the gate information acquired by the gate information acquisition part 30 to enable channel selection from a user listening and viewing the digital broadcasting.
