<p>The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device in which screen burn-in does not occur easily at high throughput. The present invention is a liquid crystal display device provided with a pair of substrates and liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the pair of substrates. At least one of the substrates comprises an alignment layer, and a polymer layer that is formed on the alignment layer and controls the alignment of adjacent liquid crystal molecules. The polymer layer has a structure in which at least three benzene rings are condensed, and the alignment layer and the polymer layer are linked by a covalent bond.</p> |
