<p>The switch (1) has two magnets for producing a magnetic field in a region of two contact regions (21, 31) for exerting magnetic force i.e. Lorenz force (F), on an electric arc. The electric arc is driven in a direction of one of a pair of quenching devices i.e. arcing chambers (41, 42), independent of a flow direction. A contact piece (30) of switching chambers is arranged such that one of the contact regions and another contact region (32) are provided in a line perpendicular to a motion direction (T) of the electric arc.</p> |
