PURPOSE: A backlight unit and a liquid crystal display device with the same are provided to install a second panel guide on a first panel guide and make the second panel guide by flexible materials, thereby preventing movement and damage of a liquid crystal display panel. CONSTITUTION: An upper side of a bottom cover(190) is opened. First panel guides(180) are made of strong materials. The first panel guides are formed along with inner edges of the bottom cover by a first injection molding process. Second panel guides(160) are made of flexible materials. The second panel guides are formed along in inner edges of the bottom cover by a second injection molding process. The second panel guides are formed on the first panel guides. A stopping end protrudes upward along with edges of a lower side on edges of the bottom cover.
