<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a novel negative electrode active material for a lithium secondary battery, which can sufficiently improve the output characteristics of the lithium secondary battery, can exhibit stable charging/discharging characteristics and enables improvement in discharge capacity, initial efficiency and capacity retention rate. <P>SOLUTION: The negative electrode active material for the lithium secondary battery is obtained by calcinating a coke material, which is obtained by blending coal and/or petroleum based (hereinafter called coal based, etc) raw coke and calcined coke of the coal based, etc between 90:10 and 10:90 in a mass ratio, and adding a phosphorus compound at the rate of 0.1 to 6.0 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of the coke in terms of phosphorus conversion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
