<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for a tongueless coil thread which tool is simplified in structure to have less number of components, thereby achieving cost reduction. <P>SOLUTION: The tool 1 for the tongueless coil thread is used to fit or remove a tongueless coil thread insert having a cutout formed on an inner screw on a coil end, to or from a fitting hole. The tool 1 includes a columnar mandrel 2 having an external thread portion 5 formed on its side periphery for holding the tongueless coil thread insert and a groove 6 opening toward the side periphery and formed along the axial direction of the mandrel 2; and a pawl 3 having a hook 8 on its front end, the pawl 3 being inserted in the groove 6 of the mandrel 2. The pawl 3 is formed integrally with a spring 7 that energizes the hook 8 to project from an opening 6a of the groove 6 at the front end of the mandrel 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
