PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing graphene using a metal catalyst is provided to form mono-layered graphene by epitaxially growing the graphene and accelerating the growing speed of the graphene. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing graphene includes the following: An allowing element is added into a metal catalyst to be alloyed. A step structure is formed on a metal catalyst substrate under a gas atmosphere of a molecular weight which is more than the carbon atomic weight. Hydrocarbon and hydrogen gas are supplied. The metal catalyst is aluminum, silver, gold, or copper. The allowing element is one or more of transition elements forming carbide or including hydrogen solubility under a temperature between 600 and 1060 degrees Celsius.
