The system has a secure access control terminal (10) comprising an upper surface that is provided with a capturing surface (11a) of a biometric sensor e.g. complementary metal oxide semiconductor sensor. The terminal has an antenna that is positioned with respect to the capturing surface such that an antenna of a microcircuit card (20) communicates with the terminal's antenna at the end of movement of a hand of a user (U) to capture biometric data of a finger stretched forwards above the capturing surface, when the card is held in the hand and displayed at the upper surface. The antenna of the control terminal is two-dimensional or three-dimensional antenna. The finger is a forefinger or a middle finger of the user. An independent claim is also included for a biometric access control method for authorizing access to services or application functions.
