A mobile terminal having a multi-memo function and a method thereof are provided to improve an interface for memos and to enable users to always be aware of the contents of memos by displaying a symbol corresponding to a multi-memo so that associated contents can be displayed by a user's selection. A mobile terminal having a multi-memo function consists of a key input part(110), a central control part(120), a multi-memo processing part(130), a display part(140), and a storage part(150). A selection for the contents and setup of a multi-memo is inputted to the key input part(110). The central control part(120) controls the flow of the data related to multi-memos. The multi-memo processing part(130) controls the setup and display of multi-memos. The display part(140) displays the menus related to multi-memos and the contents of multi-memos. The storage part(150) stores multi-memos, inputted from the key input part(110), and the setup information of the multi-memos.
